Sunny Isles Beach, Florida is a breathtaking resort destination that was ranked the 4th best Miami beach by USA Today, and ranked #1 of Top Ten U.S. Destinations by Trip Advisor's TravelCast.
Famous for its pristine, white-sand beaches, this Miami seaside beach community also features a beautiful pier, parks, resort amenities, excellent restaurants and shops, and a casual but active lifestyle.

Beach parking when using public access can be difficult to spot, because much of the street parking is reserved for residents. However, two municipal parking lots are available: one is behind the Walgreen’s at 174th St., and another is at Heritage Park.
The Samson Oceanfront Park provides parking and beach access at 174th Street and features a sculpture of a family surrounded by a bed of flowers. The park hosts concerts and family events throughout the year, and has amenities that include restrooms, vending machines, shaded picnic area, a volleyball net, and a playground.
Golden Beach is located immediately north of Sunny Isles Beach and is a small beach town with just over 1 mile of Atlantic coastal beach front, and 364 single-family homes. The town forbids construction of high-rise condominiums and features a historic beach pavilion and 9 parks.
Haulover Beach Park contains the largest remaining stretch of undeveloped beachfront in Miami-Dade County and is located just south of Sunny Isles Beach on the Atlantic Ocean. It features a 1.5-mile beach that’s superb for beach activities and water sports, including swimming, sunbathing, fishing, kite flying, surfing, and more. The northern one-third of the beach is designated as clothing optional and is partitioned off so it’s out of view of other beachgoers.

As an upscale resort community, Sunny Isles Beach is not geared toward providing visitors with a great number of commercial activities. This beach community is mostly comprised of private residences, resorts, vacation rentals, and a few stores. Residents and vacationers, therefore, drive a few minutes to neighboring communities for many shopping and recreational activities.
Jazz Fest is held annually each Fall at Heritage Park in Sunny Isles Beach, with local and international jazz musicians featured each year. A few of the past performers include the Neville Brothers, David Benoit, Ira Sullivan, Spyro Gyra, and Carole Ann Taylor & The Melton Mustafa Orchestra.
Newport Fishing Pier is located behind the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort at Sunny Isles Beach Boulevard and Collins Avenue. The pier extends 600 feet over the Atlantic Ocean and is an excellent location for fishing, walking, and beach activities. The pier is also home to Beach Bar, a restaurant with the Newport Beachside Hotel & Resort, which is a great place to dine and enjoy oceanfront views.

Popular park activities include mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, swimming, fishing, camping, hiking, and eco-adventures. Visitors can rent kayaks, canoes, and bicycles from the park concessionaire. Park amenities include picnic tables, grills, pavilions, cabins, concessions, and a shower station.
Haulover Beach Park is immediately south of Sunny Isles Beach and offers much more than an excellent beach experience. This 99-acre park offers a variety of activities that include swimming, sunbathing, tennis, golf, hiking, boating, surfing, kite flying, and fishing. The park has a dog park with separate areas for dogs of different sizes, an open grassy area, picnic tables, and drinking fountains for dogs. Vendors located in the park include Skyward Kites, Bill Bird Marina, a large charter fleet at the marina, and Oceanfront Fitness.
The Miami Auto Museum at The Dezer Collection is just east of the Oleta River State Park, and a short drive from Sunny Isles Beach. The museum includes nine exhibits with more than 1,000 unique vehicles. The Hollywood “Star” exhibit showcases cars from some of Hollywood’s most celebrated movies, while the “Cars of the Stars” and “James Bond” exhibits feature world-renowned automobiles, submarines, airplanes, boats, and memorabilia from Hollywood’s leading film franchises.
