Palm Coast

By

Palm Coast is an Atlantic Coast community featuring an active outdoor lifestyle with a hometown feel, pristine beaches, nature preserves, world-class golf and tennis, invigorating water sports, and eco-adventures.

Beaches

Palm Coast, Florida has beautiful beaches where you can rest and relax, or participate in beach and water sports. There are several great public beaches, in addition to excellent private beaches at resorts and hotels.

Washington Oaks State Park’s beach is nearly a mile long and features a unique shoreline of coquina rock formations that line the Atlantic Ocean. Activities and amenities at the park include bicycling, fishing, hiking nature trails and strolling the gardens, playground, interpretive exhibit, and restrooms.

Jungle Hut Road Park’s beach is very laid-back and peaceful because the rocks in the surf and the possibility of strong undercurrents make this beach unsuitable for swimming. So if you are looking to spend time on an uncrowded beach and enjoy the sun, sand, and wildlife, this beach is perfect for you!

Varn Park’s beach covers eight acres and is perfect for viewing wildlife and enjoying water sports. The park is an especially popular surf fishing spot, and on most days fisherman can be seen casting their nets for flounder, snapper, and more.

Outdoor Activities

Palm Coast offers a diverse mixture of indoor and outdoor activities. Play golf at a Jack Nicklaus-designed course, enjoy a competitive game of tennis, fish in the Intracoastal Waterway or the Atlantic Ocean, enjoy a day at the spa, hike and bike local trails, or stroll through formal gardens.

Local parks are excellent for swimming, shelling, sunbathing, viewing wildlife, water and beach sports, and exciting eco-adventures.

Princess Place Preserve is one of the top-rated destinations in Palm Coast because of its rich history and fun activities. With 1,500 pristine acres, nature enthusiasts come to hike trails, fish in the salt marshes along the Matanzas River and Pellicer Creek, camp, and enjoy equestrian activities. Other activities include canoeing, kayaking, picnicking, wildlife viewing, hiking, and eco-adventures. There are also facilities for weddings.
